Day one of a seven-day plan for herbal tea recipes that aim at dryness relief.
Soothing Aloe and Marshmallow Root Tea (Hydrate)
Whether it’s the dry air of winter, overexposure to heating systems, or just feeling thirsty after a long day, dryness in the mouth, throat, or stomach can be incredibly uncomfortable. Luckily, nature offers some excellent herbal remedies to help bring soothing relief and hydration. One of the most effective combinations? Aloe vera and marshmallow root tea.
What Makes This Tea Special?
The combination of aloe vera and marshmallow root is a powerhouse for reducing dryness and irritation.
Aloe vera is known for its cooling, anti-inflammatory, and hydrating properties. It helps soothe the mucous membranes throughout the digestive tract, which is especially beneficial if dryness is accompanied by irritation or inflammation.
Marshmallow Root is a natural softening. It is packed with mucilage, a gelatinous substance that coats and protects irritated tissues. This herb is often used for sore throats, digestive discomfort, and dryness-related issues.
Licorice Root & Slippery Elm can be a good addition to the combination as it enhances the tea’s soothing and moisturizing effects. Licorice root is anti-inflammatory, while slippery elm is another salving that coats and protects the digestive tract.
